Nice! Ready for a solid cam now. ;) Hopefully there's thread sealant on the studs.

Maybe some bigger valves too although I have a set of 63/64 289 heads with 1.84 intake 1.60 exhaust
pretty tight fit probably shrouded

No sweat I lack anything but a tape measure here in the the place I leave my spares.

Vales and seats look fresh and clean look to them.

These are surplus and anything that comes in goes into a 289 five bolt that's being freshened in Highland in Walter's World.
Not the Fox News Channel show ;)

Probably stock size valves hard to tell for sure with a ruler they are clean looking someone should jump on them/

Was just looking at my 260 heads came off my 1965 mk1 has same 4M23 date anyone
else have there 260 heads laying around just wondering how many had the same date, also
looking at my valves and it does look Warrens heads may have oversized valves (nice)

Just purchased these last week. Same date. I was looking for a set cast in 63 but might have to live with these.

Will get back to you about that information since my buddy is doing the rebuild at his home

I had my heads in the machine shop recently after noticing one of my press-in rocker studs had pulled out about a 1/16" or so. He used some new studs I've never seen before, with a weird squarish thread into the head (cost $23 for 16). It avoids the extra expense of milling the stud bosses like the old 289HP heads. He said they remove old ones (easier said than done), run a tap down the hole, seal, and install stud with some sort of tool. Correct length and steel valve covers fit without interference even with the locking rocker arm nuts.

Nice I wonder what kind of tool he used to put the square threads in. $23 for the 16 studs and not having to have to mill the bosses
should save on cost. Curious what's the date code on your 260 heads mine are the same as Warrens selling

I cracked a stud boss, thereby destroying the head by winding in a set of those a bit too energetically. I think that it is better to use a stud with a proper flat base to bear against the head, or be a bit more skilled that I was 40 years ago

Looks like I was wrong about the weird threads in the head, they're a standard 7/16-14 thread. Summit link here.
My December 64 Tiger has 4G6 and 4G10 heads assembled 4G21.
Sorry Warren, looks like we've hijacked your "For Sale" thread! šŸ˜
