Lot 506, a Mk IA VIN # 2196 BRG with a TAC cert was outside under a tent (location T7 A16). A clean but dusty restored car with a matt black engine bay and LAT wheels which sold Wednesday for $51,7 including premium (47K bid).
Lot 766.1 was allegedly a Mk I, VIN B947 0988 (JAL 560565 matches) but it had a square corner the body with footwell vents and a soft cover for the top, IA style. It was restored, dark blue with wire wheels and a matching hardtop. Located T4 A3. Due to sell Thursday.
Lot 1097 is a nice MK II in red with all the right trim VIN 382100356. JAL 700259 Hard to find in south showcase in the horse arena S of the auction arena. This has a CAT sticker and a black hardtop. No TAC - I would have liked to look under the trunk board and under the carpet behind the passenger seat before I bid (if I was a bidder) but no owners around. Sells on Friday.
Lot 1290 is another nicely restored red Mk I VIN B9471294. It has a red hardtop, LAT hood located Tent 9 A17 It includes a copy of TBON (a $1500 value as they say). No TAC but paperwork includes an $85K appraisal. Sells on Saturday.
It would be nice if sellers got cars TAC’d and were there to answer questions or at least had phone #s to contact them.
