I bought a new SU AZX 1308 fuel pump, and I'm having a problem getting the right fitting for the outbound fuel line to the SU pump. The old pump wasn't a SU, and used hoses clamped above the compression sleeve of the existing Tiger 5/16" tubing. I am adding a fuel filter, so I bought a banjo fitting for the pump inlet, and was hoping I could just reconnect the outlet of the pump to the original tube going to the engine bay. I talked to Mark at SU Fuel Pumps and he said it was fitting AUB 655, it fits the SU fine, but doesn't fit the the compression nut!
. Funny thing is the threads on the Autolite 2100 fuel filter fit the compression nut perfectly. Those threads are 1/2"-20 I think, and are straight .490" diameter threads. The AUB 655 threads are .510" diameter, and a slightly different pitch. Sorry for the long explanation.
Anyone know where to get the correct fitting to connect the original 5/16" tube fitting to a SU carb?
Thanks, Ken
