You guys need to move to Ohio. I don't pay any yearly registration fees on 5 Sunbeams. They're registered with Historical tags which means no taxes or fees of any kind, no yearly inspections and we don't have personal property taxes. Ohio does not have any testing of vehicles such as mechanical or emmisions. The initial fee to register a car will be $7.50 plus local county taxes. No fees after that for the next 50 years. The last Beam I registered this way was my RHD LeMans in 2012 and the cost was less than 20.00. You receive nothing from the BMV after that including asking for proof of insurance. The yearly registration fee for our five regular vehicles is $37.50 per year for each vehicle and the two car trailers total close to $40.00 because the fee is based on the weight. Life is easy!
Keep gvmt at bay. Ohio is also know (among certain cadre) as a great Class 3 Title II NFA State. Just sayin'
Virginia is like Ohio. Historical vehicles are not charged a personal property tax and once you initially register it,the registration is good for as long as you own the car. No emissions or state inspection either.
Insurer asks for mileage every year, plus other annoying questions. I'm not in the habit of stretching the truth
